Car Control I (FWD)

Build the traction, weight-transfer, instability, and recovery foundation in FWD.

Car Control I establishes the control foundation in a front-wheel-drive platform. Because the front tires must both steer and deliver power, students can clearly feel how entry speed, steering demand, braking, and throttle compete for the same available grip.

Students learn how driver inputs move weight through the chassis, then use that understanding to recognize power-on understeer, lift-throttle rotation, and the earliest signs of instability.

Controlled exercises develop early recognition of understeer, oversteer, and excessive weight transfer. The standard is not a dramatic recovery; it is recognizing the condition early, making the correct input, and returning the vehicle to stability without adding a second problem.
